Ok, so here is the deal....... My new Boost Droid phone does work just fine....... as long as I am NOT at home. :(
You read that right friends. Apparently the area I live in is too dense with trees and stuff and I get no signal. No Bars, No 3G, Nothing.........
So when I am out and about its all good. But this appears to be something Boost cant do anything about, and it is the phone either. Just a shitty signal (or lack thereof) where I live.
So it looks like I will need a cheap land line for the apartment now. Probably 'Magic Jack' as it is only $20 a year. Then I can be connected at home and on the go.
In the mean time, if you text me or call me and get no response, then it means I am at home with no service. Until I get my land line hooked up, you all will have to email me, use Google talk, or Facebook to reach me. I use all of those things a ton every day so I am always around.
I will let you guys know when I have that land line.

MvM's World, Entry #21 - No Phone :(
After just one fucking week with this 'wonderful' (note: sarcasm) Samsung Droid phone I got through Boost, I am now temporarily phone-less.
At some point earlier today, the phone decided it no longer wished to pick up any signals. Indoors or outdoors. I tried it I know. So using a different phone, I called customer service. What a fucking joke. Took forever to get to a human being......wich ended up being someone in India whom I could not understand at all.
I was told to reboot this, and press that. Then they said there ya go have a nice day. Guess what?........ It STILL doesn't work!
So now here I sit on this holiday weekend with my son at home, and I have no way to contact anyone or for them to contact me. All I have right now is email and facebook. That's it.
Tomorrow I am going to MY Radio Shack here down the road (not the stupid plainwell one that sold me this pos), and asking them if they can help me as they are a Boost dealer.
If they cannot fix my phone, then I am asking for my money back. Period!
This whole fucking thing sucks. And to make matters worse, some certain people think I am just ignoring them and that my phone is fine. I wish it was that easy, but that is just not the case at all.
Stupid phone! That's what I get for buying a Boost phone I guess. Live and learn. Sometimes, things really are too good to be true. :(

MvM's World, Entry #19 - RIP Peter Falk
Via Entertainment Weekly (www.ew.com)
Peter Falk, the actor known to a generation as television’s Lt. Columbo, died yesterday in Beverly Hills, according to ABC News. “Falk died peacefully at his Beverly Hills home in the evening of June 23, 2011,” according to the statement from his family. He was 83.
Say Falk’s name and the image that instantly comes to mind is a slope-shouldered figure in a rumpled overcoat, staring down a suspect with one eye while the other roams unnervingly free. Few actors were ever identified with a single character as much as Falk was with Lt. Columbo, the slow-moving, sharp-witted detective he played in more than five dozen TV movies, beginning with 1968’s Presciption: Murder. But like his most famous character, Falk’s genial exterior concealed hidden depths. Falk came late to acting, earning a master’s in public administration and working as a Connecticut bureaucrat before taking legendary teacher Eva La Galienne’s advice to quit his day job. He spent the 1950s playing small roles on- and off-Broadway and eventually made the leap to movies, though not without a few setbacks. Falk’s false right eye — he lost the real one to cancer at the age of 3 — could have ruined his career, or at least confined him to playing eccentrics and psychopaths. But even in small roles, Falk made his mark, garnering back-to-back Supporting Actor Oscar nominations for Murder, Inc. (1961) and Pocketful of Miracles (1962). He lost, but eventually picked up five Emmys.
Falk’s comic skills (best seen in 1979’s The In-Laws) were never in doubt, but as a dramatic actor, in movies like Husbands and A Woman Under the Influence, he was consistently underrated. His instantly recognizable face gave Falk no choice but to play versions of himsef; even as an ex-angel walking the streets of Berlin in Wings of Desire, he’s accosted by children yelling “Columbo!” But Falk never caricatured himself, even if others did, and left a body of work that deserves further investigation.

MvM's World, Entry #11 - This Is So Damn Painful......
I broke a tooth the other day, and called my dentist to make an appointment. All seemed well........
...... until I woke up at 3am this morning with my broken tooth now becoming a huge infection. Not going to make it until the 21st for my appointment, so I am hoping they can see me today and give me some antibiotics for the infection and something for the pain.
Then on the 21st I will be set for the tooth pull. I hate going to the dentist. I hate it so damn much.........

MvM's World, Entry #3 - Dad's Back In The Hospital
***********************
EDIT:
Dad is coming home tonight, and once again the wonderful doctors don't know what's wrong (sarcasm). I hope they can figure this out eventually...... They said it was another attack brought on by his Fibromyalgia. That's what they said last time. Its just frustrating.
***********************
My dad is back in the hospital again for the 3rd time in a month and a half...... more heart problems. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers......
I will let you know more when I find out myself here in a little while........
